The days are getting warmer and it’ll soon be time to pack your favorite summer read in your beach bag or take it with you out on the back deck. We’ve had a couple really beautiful days here in NS, and while the water is still freezing, people are ready to hit the beach for the long weekend.
I recently read a bunch of books from the Young Adult section of the book store and there were 3 that really grabbed my attention. The first two were lent to me and I highly recommend those. The last one is soul crushing and read at your own risk.
In the cold of an Atlantic Canada winter there is nothing better than putting on your fuzzy socks, wrapping yourself up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a good book. Currently I am reading Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson. A book I picked up for two reasons; upon reading the title and short description on the jacket of the book I thought “this is going to be hilarious” (who doesn’t need a good laugh during dreary winter days) and, more honestly, I can’t resist a book with a cute animal on the cover. I am not typically fond of raccoons (that is a story for another time) but this one seemed really happy.
