What a week. I’ve arrived safe and sound in Europe and just finished unpacking – better late than never! I had planned on sharing with you all a mouthful from the family supper I was supposed to cook yesterday… However, since I only ended up arriving this morning, my lovely Sunday dinner did not happen. So here is one of the recipes that has been turning around in my head for the last month, these delicious and easy pork tacos.
I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS. THEY ARE THE YUMMIEST. Ok. Now that’s out of the way…
These crispy baked chicken wings will change your life. And writing this without being dramatic is hard. The best part about these is that they are baked, not fried, but (because magic) still come out of the oven crispy and delicious. Since the first time I made these C has threatened to enroll me in Chicken Wings Anonymous on more than one occasion. I believe his exact words have been “Babe. If you eat another chicken wing you will turn into a chicken wing”. (My response? “Then I would become a cannibal” I may have to look into CWA…)
I spent the last few years totally convinced I HATED kale chips. I wasn’t even sure I liked kale at all. It seemed to be just another fad vegetable – which personally turned me off before I had even tried it. Then one lovely day, I had my first kale caesar salad and haven’t looked back since. I think a large part of the reason I thought I didn’t like kale chips was that store-bought versions I had tried taste nothing like the ones I started making for myself.
You will never want to buy apple sauce again! This recipe is just delightful. And super simple. Plus there’s nothing that beats the feeling of swapping out store bought products for your own homemade version. This recipe stemmed from buying a bag of apples when I only needed a few for a cheesecake and I had to come up with a way to use up the rest of the apples. Now its a staple in my fridge! It is perfect on its own, over pancakes, in muffins, with pork… it also makes a great replacement for oil or butter when baking.
