I started making soy wax candles for myself as a natural alternative to the paraffin wax many candles are made with. Soy wax is my favorite! It’s non-toxic, has a long burn time and is easy to clean up. Any spills or dishes you use to make candles can painlessly be cleaned with hot water and dish soap. I have used a soy wax that had botanical additives to help reduce frosting (see below) and it was a royal pain to clean my equipment afterwards!
I love taking pictures (all the ones lately seem to be of my cat or food) and displaying pictures! Having memories on display is heart warming and reminds us of the good times when we are having a bad day. But nice frames can be expensive. I found some plain ones at the dollar store and thought how easy it must be to spruce them up. And a framed picture always makes a great gift idea! Three quick and easy upcycled picture display projects await!
