The days are getting warmer and it’ll soon be time to pack your favorite summer read in your beach bag or take it with you out on the back deck. We’ve had a couple really beautiful days here in NS, and while the water is still freezing, people are ready to hit the beach for the long weekend.
I recently read a bunch of books from the Young Adult section of the book store and there were 3 that really grabbed my attention. The first two were lent to me and I highly recommend those. The last one is soul crushing and read at your own risk.
Younger siblings are the best, there is no one you love more and there is no one who can push your buttons quite like them. There is a special responsibility that comes with being an older sibling that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Joce Deer and I both have younger siblings that we love dearly. Here are a few reasons why having a younger brother or sister is the best.
May was a month for getting back in tune with ourselves, each other, and our goals. Part of that has been a redesign for the blog (still ongoing..!). As such posts were a tad scarce as we found ourselves in a holding pattern waiting for various ‘design’ elements to come together. So now onward and upwards to June and a schedule of regular posts!
I don’t use a lot of make up daily or stick to my skin care routine all the time. But one thing I do know a lot about is dry, itchy skin. The skin on my arms, stomach and legs can get really itchy. I’ve been to the point before that I could cry after showering because my legs are so dry and itchy. It’s not as bad as that any more, since I found these products. I still have days where I scream internally from the unrelenting itchiness, because lets face it I don’t always feel like putting lotion on. These are some of my favorite products and tips to relieve dry itchy skin!
Spring has (mostly) sprung as we come to the end of our first full month of blogging. We are still settling in and trying to find the sweet spot (the same could be said for life in general) for our posting schedule. At the end of each month we wanted to share what we enjoyed, inspired us and got us through the month!
Joce on Wednesday: How to procrastinate a blog post you are currently working on? Write one for later in the week!
This time last week we were waking up to more likes, follows, and views than we imagined, having launched just 12 hours prior. A huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by to check out our blog, followed us on social media and liked, commented on or shared our posts! It has been a busy week filling up our homepage. We’ve been learning new things everyday and enjoying (mostly) every minute of it! Now that our homepage is full we are going to aim for about 3 posts a week; at least one food related post (check out our Apple Sauce), one crafting post (like this one for Leftover Scrapbook Paper Magnets) and one about life in general…however depending on our mood results may vary (see life of cat post!)
